Teaching Philosophy
"I encourage students that practicing needs to be fun and stimulating. The excitement that practicing and playing music creates within the student is what fuels the whole process. I expect my students to pick up their instrument/instruments at least once every day. Even playing a quick song or noodling for a few minutes is better than nothing! You can also listen to music for practice! Throughout our lessons together never lose sight of the reason why you decided to pick up your instrument. While I may assign specific repertoire and literature, my students have control of what we work on. Their musical choices pave the path and forge their musical identity as well as our weekly time together."
